Description

The role is divided into two key functions: first, to work as a key member of the team for AWS Cloud technologies, designing and implementing new projects. Second, to support the daily operation of business workloads already deployed on AWS, contributing to the stability, resilience, and quality improvement of the Infrastructure & Cloud Services.

The Cloud Solutions Engineer provides second and third line support of all Cloud solutions. This includes carrying an important voice on aspects of implementation, testing, performance, and operation.

Key Accountabilities

• Contribute to the definition, with other team members, of AWS Cloud infrastructure for cloud-based solutions.

• Provide support on AWS with some seniority expected. A probable extension to Azure will also be needed soon as a new Landing Zone is being built, so knowledge of the Azure stack will be appreciated as well.

• Responsible for implementation of solutions in one or more of the following technical areas: infrastructure architecture, container technologies, serverless compute, databases, networking connectivity, security, and compliance.

• Manage the maintenance of the infrastructure environments with standardized processes and automated tools.

• Provision of detailed Low Level Design documentation with subsequent liaison with other team members.

• Ownership and maintenance of the monitoring platform.

• Provide second line support for all Cloud infrastructure → excellent troubleshooting skills required.

• Ability to ensure on-call duties within AWS scope.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• 7+ years of experience on AWS platform.

• 5+ years of experience with CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation).

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps-oriented environment.

• Experience designing and implementing new AWS-based projects.

• Experience with scripting languages (Python or others).

• Good knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).

• Ability to work in a self-sufficient manner, seeking guidance when necessary.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and organizational boundaries.

• Security-oriented mindset.

• English (spoken and written) – mandatory.

• Excellent client and inter-team communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm and perform to a high standard under pressure.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Azure technologies.

• FinOps knowledge.
